								URPoint Details
Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, near the village of Cranleigh, is best known today as the base of the hit BBC motoring program, Top Gear.
It was a Canadian Air Force base in World War II and after the war became a test site for Hawker Aircraft and Hawker-Siddley, where the famed Hawker Hunter was developed, and, later, the VTOL Harrier 'jump jet'.
Dunsfold was also used to emulate Miami Airport in the James Bond movie, Casino Royale.
