URPoint Details
The village situated on rock-strewn uplands takes its name from Saint Senara where there is a Norman church with a pew carving of the ‘mermaid of Zennor’ who is reputedly came ashore to hear the squire’s son singing and lured him back to the sea with her.
To the west is the rugged Gurnard’s Head and to the southwest is the Bosporthennis Iron Age village site, with its rare beehive hut and farther south is Mulfra Quoit, a Neolithic dolmen.
