URPoint Details
Historic pub dating back to 1790, although it has been claimed to date from the late 1600's. A coffee house operated here from 1730, and it was owing to the employment of a Moroccan boy that the pub derives its name, although no ships have recorded taking part in the slave trade from Hull. Also associated with cock fighting, naval press gangs and is reputedly haunted.
