Ye Olde Salutation Inn - Weobley (The Sal)

The Salutation Inn is a 14th century, black and white timber-framed building set in the medieval village of Weobley in rural Herefordshire.

This area of the Welsh Marches is largely unspoiled by tourism and is famous for its cattle, cider orchards and hops.

Combining a former ale and cider house and a charming adjoining cottage which sleeps 5 (the first timber framed building to be erected in Weobley since the 17th century).

The inn offers a traditional setting and friendly atmosphere in which to enjoy superb home cooked meals in the restaurant or in the bar.

Comfortable and well appointed bedrooms, one with a four poster bed. There is a spacious residents' lounge and a delightful bar with inglenook fireplace.

This lovely country inn overlooking the centre of the village is an ideal base for Hay-on-Wye (second hand book shops), Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons, 12 miles to Hereford and Birmingham Airport is 50 miles.
