A village on the River Frome, with remains of an old Court House, burnt during the Civil War.
The impressive Church of St Mary dates from Norman times and has a Perpendicular west tower that dominates the low built church. It is buttressed and pinnacled and has a large stair turret. The font dates from the 14th century and there is a brass to a man, his two wives and eleven children.
