Abbey Church of St Mary & St Thomas of Canterbury was founded by the Benedictine Monks and became an Abbey in 1448.
There is one great tower at each end and in the early 1400's the octagonal bell tower was built.
The superb 15th century hammerbeams and Norman nave are wonderful.
