Two brothers started selling fruit to holiday makers, opened a village store and is now referred to as The biggest Village Shop in the World. The large Supermarket is a good place to get groceries before taking a cruise on the Broads.
There are some beautiful old houses and a lovely a pub right on the waterfront over the bridge in Hoveton.
The bridge spanning the River Bure was built in 1614 and was widened in 1897.
St Mary's Church has many interesting features one being the Trafford Mausoleum built in 1831in the churchyard. It has a famous north doorway with seven orders and three shafts.
