Wreay - Church of St Mary

Wreay

URPoint Details

Built in 1840, the church is a beautiful building designed by Sarah Losh a local in memory of her sister Catherine. There are some quite strange gargoyles in the shapes of butterflies, birds, snakes and alligators. The pulpit was made from the hollow trunk of a bog oak and is most unusual.
