URPoint Details
A delightful village with a fine mansion, Wotton House set in a lovely park in the Tillingbourne valley, birthplace of John Evelyn in 1620, the diarist.
Among the many treasures in the house is the Bible used by Charles I on the scaffold.
The restored 13th century and older church has John Eveleyn’s tomb.
The portrait heads on the south door are remarkable.
