The village boasts a lovely little green, with an old coaching inn.
The white brick from Woolpit was once very widely used, the brickworks were closed after the second world war.
There are some interesting timber-framed Tudor and Georgian houses as well as the Swan Inn with some parts are dated 1759 and other 1826.
Lady's Well spring waters were believed to be a cure in 14th century.
