URPoint Details
The large Church of St Peter and St Paul (Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust), has many interesting features including two naves, but it, is the northerly arcade, which holds the oldest Norman work. This part of the church probably had a west tower, which collapsed. The present tower of about 1520 stands is an independent structure. Other features include great royal arms of James I, wall monuments in the chancel of early 17th century, ancient glass in the clerestory and a communion rail of around 1700. One of the most outstanding brasses is a full size brass to Sir Thomas de Braunston in full armour.
