URPoint Details
Wirksworth Church of St Mary is a large cruciform building with a 13th century central tower and spire. The clerestory was added in 1872 when Gilbert Scott restored the church. There is a coffin lid from around 800 and carved with New Testament scenes. Two interesting fonts one Norman the other dated 1662.
