URPoint Details
In high country between Aylesbury and Linslade, the village of Wingrave centre round its 13th century church, a building much restored in 1887 but still retaining a Norman font.
The Rothschild influence is noted, too, in the village, for Hannah built several cottages there, as well as the local school. The village pond and recreation grounds were given to Wingrave by the Sixth Lord Rosebery.
