URPoint Details
One of the most outstanding in all of Dorset, with superb twin towers and was built in a mixture of styles, ranging from Norman to Gothic. The west tower has an interesting clock with the figure of a grenadier marching out to strike the quarter hours with a hammer.
The twin towers of the grey and brown chequered Minster Church of St Cuthberga stand on a possibly older site of a nunnery founded by him around 700AD.
