The Art Gallery & Museum's main claim to fame is its internationally renowned collection of furniture and silver, much of it made by Cotswold craftsmen, and inspired by the father of the Arts & Crafts Movement, William Morris. Its other strengths include material on the social history of Cheltenham, Britain's most complete Regency town, Oriental porcelain and English ceramics, fine paintings, and changing special exhibitions throughout the year.
