URPoint Details

Willingdale Spain Church of St Andrew's (Historic Churches Trust),  has a pretty clapboard belfry and porch, is the older of the two churches; it is mainly Norman with Roman brick used in some parts of the building. The chancel is 15th century, as are the belfry timbers. There is a 14th century octagonal font and some interesting memorials including two sad little inscriptions dated 1614 in memory of the Rector's children. The church is now only used on Palm Sunday, when the palms are blessed then carried to St Christopher's church.  Grade II* listed building
