William Penn born 14 October 1644 was an English real estate entrepreneur, philosopher, and founder of the Province of Pennsylvania in 1682.
William Penn died penniless on 30 July 1718, at his home in Ruscombe, near Twyford in Berkshire, England, and was buried in an unmarked grave next to his first wife in the cemetery of the Jordans Quaker meeting house near Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire
