URPoint Details
Paid for by Dr Busby of Westminster School, a former pupil Robert Hooke designed and built the church in 1678. Hooke was a close friend of Christopher Wren's, and has all the elegance and splendour of a Wren church in miniature, particularly the west door. It is worth noting the barrel-vaulted nave with stucco panelling, the original furnishings remain intact, the candle-holders at pew ends, and the organ case with cherubic accompaniment. See to the gorgeous marble-bowled font - cherubs heads here as well - with ogee-shaped cover. The apse was added in 1867.
Grade I listed building in 1966.
