A tree lined green in the centre of the village on the banks of the Lesser Stour has some charming red-brick cottages of the 18th and 19th century.
The Church of St Andrew dates from the 14th century and is approached by an avenue of lime trees.
There is a large stained glass east window, designed by Arild Rosenkrantz.
In contrast is a small fragment of 13th century stained glass depicting the beheading of St John the Baptist.
