The River Foyers merges with the Fechlin, which flows from Loch Killin to the southeast.
The road to Fort Augustus first follows the Foyers, then climbs up to the moorlands on which is the lovely Loch Tarf with exceptional views, before descending steeply to the wooded Glen Doe.
