URPoint Details
The great mountain plateau of the White Mount lies on the border with Angus and faces Deeside and the Balmoral Forest to the north which separates it from the Cairngorms.
Lochnager is its most famous peak with twin summits reaching 3,786ft and 3,768ft.
Broad Cairn rises to 3,268ft and Cairn Bannoch to 3,314ft, Fafernie to 3,274ft and Cairn Taggart to 3,430ft.
Glen Callater with its loch are to the west and Glen Muick also with its own are to the east lying on either side of the mountains.
