URPoint Details
A simple but beautiful church. It is brick built and the oldest part is the tower dated 1590 made from hand-made bricks, some of the first made in England since Roman times, the clay being dug and fired locally. The nave was built in 1719 also of local brick, and the semi-circular apse was added in 1860. The church is aisle less and has a Jacobean pulpit with a sounding board.
