URPoint Details
The name means ‘wether valley’. The village is a mixture of the very old and very new. Some delightful old cottages still remain, especially around the church.
The flint church of St Mary, stands in a tree encircled churchyard and has a beautiful hammerbeam roof. It is built in the Decorated and perpendicular styles.
