Weston Zoyland

To the northwest is the site of the battle of Sedgemoor in 1685, the last battle to be fought on English soil. After the battle rebels were confined in the church, but the Duke of Monmouth fled, being captured later near Ringwood.

The church is Decorated and Perpendicular with a fine tower and a richly decorated nave roof.
