Originally a 17th century farmhouse on the outskirts of the town. The building has had a colourful history, undergoing many changes in the l8th and l9th centuries. It was restored to its former elegance in the late 1980's in a joint project by Fareham Borough Council and Hampshire County Council and opened as a museum in 1990. The addition of a new Victorian style public garden, a Georgian style carriage way and a small but elegant coffee lounge completes the restoration of this beautiful award winning building.
