URPoint Details
The town is situated to the southeast of the Kirkcaldy to Leven road and is a small coastal port with a curious old Tolbooth.
The coast to the northeast is rocky, with caves or ‘weems’ notable for Bronze and Iron Age and Early Christian carvings.
Wemyss Castle dates from 1421 and was the first meeting place between Mary, Queen of Scots and Darnley in 1565.
