URPoint Details
The barrow on the common is said to date from Neolithic times and many finds of rough tools and worked flints have been unearthed in the local stone and gravel pits.
The village on the river Wensum dates back to the 9th century.
The Duke's Head is dated 1666.
St Peter’s Church in School Rd is a lovely 13th century church with some lovely medieval stained glass windows The two churches of St Peter and St Marys merged in 1720.
