URPoint Details
Although smaller than its neighbour East Hendred, this is a pretty village where the mostly 15th century church sits beside a brook. The interior has a beautifully carved font cover, reading desk and pulpit and some old glass.
Two round barrows lie near the village one is Scutchamer Knob, south of The Ridgeway.
The Ridgeway itself is possible pre-Roman and rises to 750ft.
