(pronounced Webley) is considered by many to be the finest example of a black and white village in the country, established in the 7th Century, by the time of Domesday it was known as Wibelai.

The church of St Peter and St Paul was built by the Norman family of de Lacy. It has a commanding spire, and traceried eight-sided 14th century font. There are also some interesting monuments.

Weobley became a prosperous small town through its industries of glove and ale making, and returned 2 members of Parliament until the Reform Act of 1832.

King Charles I stayed at `The Crown', in 1645 after the battle of Naseby.

In the 18th Century the village gained notoriety as a centre for witchcraft!

Weobley Museum in the Old Magistrates Court in the town has its own collection of local historical interest.
