Two wheelchair accessible carriages, all of the standard travel services are capable of carrying from 2 to 6 fixed wheelchairs in the brake compartment (via ramps at any of our stations). Disabled toilets are available at Alresford station in the Old Goods Shed, Ropley Station and Alton station.
Dogs on leads are welcome on our train services and at our stations, with the exception of Steam Illuminations trains and dining trains (Real Ale Train, Watercress Belle, Countryman Dining and the Royal Wessex). Dogs travel FREE.
The buffet offers a selection of hot and cold drinks, meals and snacks, whilst the shop has a wide range of books and other souveniers.
This historic steam railway runs over ten miles through Hampshire's rolling countryside between Alresford and Alton and a round trip will take about 2 hours. Take some extra time to break your journey and see the other stations. A childhood dream, or just a new found interest in steam trains, either way this is the opportunity you have been looking for!
