Warkworth Castle, (EH), 7½m S on A1068. Open April to October, daily 10am-6pm. November to March, daily 10am-4pm. Admission charge; picnics welcome in grounds.
Disabled parking 30m from entrance via gravel, grass and bridge slats (there is step at the end, but assistance is available); disabled visitors may be set down on tarmac area beside bridge. Access to castle via one step at entrance; access to most of bailey only on impacted gravel and grass surface; Keep only accessible up wide staircase and one staircase inside with handrail; good vantage point in bailey. Special tape tour available. Tape tour with hearing loop available.
