URPoint Details
A small Estate village set in pleasant undulating countryside near the Bedfordshire border on the Potton road beside the wooded grounds of Waresley Park a large house built as recently as 1934.
The church of St James built in 1857 to the designs of the celebrated Butterfield and the chancel is a good example of his work. The church connects by a well with the adjacent Duncombe Mausoleum.
Waresley retains some charming old thatched cottages and the popular Duncombe Arms, set imposingly in the middle of the village, provides good fare.
