URPoint Details
Cross the ford over the river Stiffkey and there is a tiny green, a memorial oak, a monument to Sir Eustace Gurney and Berry Hall a manor house dating from 1520 complete with moat making up this quaint little village.
South of the village are the ruins of a very old church lying in a field near the 14th century church of St Peter on a slope overlooking the beautiful valley. It has fine window carvings and the original clerestory windows are still intact, one of the few examples to be found in the country. The bells date from 1330 and the beams are original from when the church was thatched.
