No dogs allowed. Disabled passengers can be set down at castle entrance; please phone in advance to make special arrangements for limited parking on site. Castle access via cobbled and flagstone walkway and wooden drawbridge gatehouse and 3 ground floor rooms accessible to wheelchair users via one high door sill (pusher necessary) easy flight of stairs to upper floors with handrail (the most interesting rooms are upstairs) seats provided. Gardens: main route from house is not practical but there is an alternative route via a side gate smooth grass and gravel paths within grounds. Special tape tour included in admission price scented plants cannons can be touched. Tape tour with hearing loop, included in admission charge script also available. Ask custodian for key to toilets. Shop, accessible but space very restricted.
