Disabled parking in main car park mobility impaired visitors may be set down by house on request, but cars must be parked in car park this is subject to staff availability and should be arranged prior to visit. Garden: large with many tarmac and gravel paths sizeable area around house is level via long sloping path from entrance strong companions needed remaining garden and woodland has steep slopes and steps wheelchair route map available. Adapted cubicles in men's and women's sections available in block beyond house, and near restaurant. Self-service restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating easy access with ramps. Shop on ground floor of house via one low step.
A superb collection of exotic trees, shrubs and other plants, many displayed in a geographic manner. Extensive water gardens, a Winter garden, a Rock Walk and many other features including a fine Elizabethan mansion.
The Loder Valley Nature Reserve can be visited by prior arrangement.
