The visitor centre and all Volk’s Electric Railway stations offer step-free access. Due to the age and design of the heritage cars, they are only able to carry wheelchairs if they are folded.
Not vintage steam but still of interest to rail enthusiasts is Britain's first public electric railway, opened in 1883. About one and three quarter miles of 2 ft 8 inch gauge running along the seafront from the Pier to the Marina.
