URPoint Details
The studio is open to the public and visitors are welcome to come and watch the process of glassmaking. Demonstrations usually take place at 12 and 2 pm but we can do them at other times.
Stourbridge trained glassmaker Tim Simon and his wife Maureen have worked in Masham for 18 years to become one of the longest running studios in the U.K.
They have built their reputation on the quality and individual style of glassmaking which incorporates an extravagant use of colour and this is a fascinating process which appeals to all age groups. People are very welcome to watch at any time.
They are proud of the fact that they use no moulds in the making process, only the skill of eye and judgement that comes with years of experience.
This allows a freedom for both maker and material, culminating in a selection of glass which is truly spectacular.
Today, their glassware is sought by collectors world-wide.
