Crossed by the A1 this parish lies between Huntingdon and Peterborough and is well wooded.
Coppingford is the site of a destroyed medieval village of which the church, the moats of a large manor house and former roads can still be traced. Coppingford is now, a wayside cluster of cottages.
Upton village, however, is larger and grouped around the Early English church which has a short but pleasing broach spire.
