Upper Winchendon - Buckinghamshire

Upper Winchendon

URPoint Details

Upper Winchendon, overlooking the Thame's riverside meadows, was once in the possession of Cardinal Wolsey.

Much of the church here is Norman, there are 16th century pews and the wooden pulpit dates back to the 14th century.

The extensive estate of Eythrope reaches to the river with, in the grounds, the Pavilion, a house built for Alice de Rothschild in 1883.
