URPoint Details
A name to think about! How can such a pretty village have such a name! Its thanks to the Norsemen, Ugga who made his little clearing or ley in this part of the East Anglian forest. Bluebell woods surround the ‘ley’ and here and there the huge puddingstones, glacial deposits of some 150- 180 million years ago, bob up some say for the route of medieval pilgrims.
