A delightful estate village built of the lovely local red sandstone.
The first church was founded by St Baldred, but was in 941 destroyed by Anlaf the Dane. The remains of 2 12th century arches are used as the burial chapel of the Earls of Haddington, who own Tyninghame Manor.
