URPoint Details
A village, road and rail junction in the west of the county northwest of Callander on the Argyllshire border in Strath Fillan near Glen Lochy and is an excellent area for fishing and climbing.
Dominating Glen Lochy is Ben Lui rising to 3,708ft and to the east Beinn Oss at 3,374ft above Glen Conninish.
On the slopes of Ben Lui rises the Fillan Water which becomes known as the Dochart and after emerging from Loch Tay becomes the Tay, the largest volume of water in Scotland.
