URPoint Details
This delightful Church of St Giles (Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust) is a surprise in more ways than one. Most surprising is the position of the 13th century tower some distance from the body of the church (although the chancel was originally much longer). The church has a 14th century west front with a decorated entrance but its exterior appears mainly 15th century. Within, the work is much earlier the nave arcades are of late 12th century with stiff-leaf capitals except the western bay which is pointed and later, possibly replacing an original west tower.
