The circular high-lying Chilterns village green makes an attractive frontage for a row of timber-framed cottages.
The flint Church of St Mary the Virgin, rebuilt in the 15th and 16th century, but the tower dates from about the 14th century.
On a high ridge behind the village stands a windmill which featured in the movie Chitty, Chitty Bang Bang.
