Friar Street is generally level and is part-pedestrianised, but the pavement outside the museum has a kerb. The nearest car park with disabled spaces is the Cathedral multi-storey pay-and-display.There is a level entrance into the corridor and courtyard with a ramp to allow access into the Coffee Shop. The tavern and Victorian kitchen are level. All other areas are not really suitable for disabled visitors.

This Tudor House is a timber framed building dating back to the 16th century, serving as a perfect setting for displays showing aspects of domestic and social life in the city from Elizabethan times.
