URPoint Details
The village of Trelleck takes its name from the 3 mysterious leaning standing stones by the village crossroads. Once part of a larger complex, their purpose is not really known, but perhaps, like Stonehenge, they were used for measuring time, or as the site of ancient religious rites. The stones appear again in carved relief on the remarkable sundial given to the church in 1689.
