A quiet and peaceful village with a ruined 12th century castle with a large motte and bailey.
There is a lovely mountain road running just below the peak of Bannau Brycheiniog which stands at 2632ft, and is the second largest mountain in South Wales after the Brecon Beacons. Below the northern face are two small lakes.
