The parish church was built in 1800 on the foundations of a much earlier one and in the churchyard are some fine and interesting monuments.
Elphinstone Tower is 15th century and has walls 8ft in thickness and have numerous small rooms with staircases built into them.
Falside Castle is a ruined 15th and 16th century castle.
