A lovely mainly residential town which is now a tourist destination.
Learny Hall is a large granite mansion built by Colonel Francis in 1898 and down one of the side streets is a row of almshouses which the Colonel’s father converted into a single residence for himself.
A small entrance tower, built as a porch and decorated with the Innes arms, has been added more recently.
