Situated at the head of Loch Kishorn, an inlet of Loch Carron is the famous road up and over the Pass of the Cattle or Bealach nam Bo on the way to Applecross.
The area may be blocked by snow in winter and is the nearest to an Alpine climb in Great Britain.
The road rises to over 2,050ft within six miles with a gradient of 1 in 4 with several sharp hair-pin bends.
